Personal Training

Personal training with a clinical background

Personal training should be built around you: your goals, your training history, your body and the things you want to be able to do.

I've worked as a personal trainer for almost a decade and am also a registered osteopath and soft tissue therapist.

That combination allows me to approach training with a detailed understanding of movement, injury and rehabilitation as well as strength and conditioning.

Whether you're completely new to training, working around an old injury, returning after rehabilitation or looking to improve your strength and sporting performance, we'll build a programme around where you are now and where you want to get to.

Alongside my professional experience, I've spent the best part of two decades strength training and taking part in sports including climbing, boxing and snowboarding.

That gives me first-hand experience of the physical demands of training and sport, and of the process of returning after injury.

How I can help

Training around pain or injury

An injury doesn't always mean that training has to stop. Sessions can be adapted around what you can currently tolerate while we progressively rebuild the areas that need more capacity.

Returning after rehabilitation

Being pain-free doesn't necessarily mean you're ready for everything you want to do. I can help bridge the gap between rehabilitation and full training, progressively rebuilding strength, confidence and physical capacity.

Strength and muscle

Structured resistance training for people who want to become stronger, build muscle and improve their overall physical capability, with an emphasis on good technique and sensible progression.

Sports performance

Strength and conditioning can help improve the physical qualities your sport demands. Training can be built around your individual sport, goals and current strengths and limitations.

Mobility and resilience

For people who want to move more comfortably, maintain their physical capacity and build a body that is better prepared for the demands of everyday life, training and sport.

Where we train

Home

I come to you within my London travel area and bring the equipment needed for the session, so you don't need your own gym or training equipment.

Outdoors

Outdoor sessions are available in London parks and can work particularly well if you enjoy training outside or don't have enough space to train comfortably at home.

Private gym - Queen's Park

Private studio sessions in Queen's Park provide access to squat racks, barbells, dumbbells, machines and conditioning equipment, allowing for heavier and more varied strength and conditioning work.

Sessions are 60 minutes and are individually planned around your goals, ability and progress.
